JAN. 2020

Alox is a travel and lifestyle ecommerce company with products serving and satisfying customers in the travel niche.

Alox wanted to build a digital home for her brand. In the course of 4 weeks, I succeeded in bringing this dream to life.

Project Goals

At the beginning of this project, it was critical to see a clear picture of the final product and state the core features.

For travellers, their bags and other accessories play a great role in their journeys. A good experience will be a product that makes getting the right bags and accessories to make moving all their items seamless.

A good experience for the brand will be a product that gives her an avenue to effectively communicate with travellers, influence their decisions, build credibility and give them reasons to return.

Minimalistic design

To avoid users encountering any difficulties while shopping, the overall experience must be simple while also appearing modern and elegant.

Easy checkout

Checking out should be as quick and easy as possible, with a variety of payment options.

Progressive web app

Satisfied customers who plan on re-visiting and updating their travel collection should be able to do so in a single click.

Welcome to Alox

The home page

Since the home page is the first page most users are likely to land on, I made it a means for the brand to generally influence them. Both visitors and returning buyers. In doing this, i also ensured the customers have a great experience.

  • Simple and clear navigation menu

  • Smooth animations and transitions

  • New collections unveil

  • Preorders for products coming soon

  • Winning products or category display

Shop page

A sweet and swift experience in the shop page is essential as customers spend the most time here searching and deciding what to buy. I made deciding easy with organization features such as categories, search, sort, filter, etc. Have a look.

Authentication

To save user data to serve them better, users have to create accounts. I made this seamless by implementing “login with google” where users can log in easily using their gmails.

Cart and checkout

In checking out orders, travellers can pay via different media like credit card, alipay and bitcoins. This was convienent for the brand too. This is powered by stripe.

Light theme, Dark theme

Many users prefer viewing screens in dark mode. Some say it looks great. Some, for their eyes. Some, at night when it’s dark. Whatever reason they have, doesn’t matter. The dark theme is just a toggle away.
